I am writing to let everyone know about someone in the community of Munger, Michigan, who is passing herself off as a certified Equine Dental Tech. This person is out there doing work on horses that she is in no way qualified to do. While Michigan law states that a person doesn't have to be certified, the issue is she is passing herself off as such.
1. She did not finish her schooling at Midwest Equine Dental Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and therefore is not a graduate of the school.
2. She did not pass her hands on "practical exam"
3. Because she failed, she went to Dr. Hildebrand literally crying and made a big deal to get her diploma and picture taken with the class to avoid embarrassment. So therefore her diploma only bears one signature and the deal she made was to come back and work with them and retake the practical exam. She got what she wanted and left and then started her business 2 weeks later. She no longer answers messages or phone calls from this Academy.
4. She is out there in the state of Michigan doing work on horses and a lot of horse owners are unaware. And that is the purpose of this blog. To inform the equine community about her. She has been doing horses in Saginaw Co MI and southwards and the Harbor Beach area as well.
5. I have a few images showing her half signed certificate and some statements from Chris Tarrants EQDT who is one of the teachers at the Midwest Equine Dental Academy and a screen shot from her personal facebook page, that she had done some horses the other day.
SO HORSE OWNERS EVERYWHERE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PERSON TO HAVE YOUR HORSES TEETH DONE! It will be only a matter of time before she really screws up someones horse and something tragic happens. INFORM YOUR HORSE FRIENDS TO STEER CLEAR!
